October 2, 2013 - Deputy Prime Minister officially launched the international exhibition '1001 Inventions: Muslim Civilization Glory ', at the National emmy house Science emmy house Centre today. The exhibition, which has won awards and was declared 'the world's best exhibition' by European Museums Industry in 2011, is now open to the public at the National Science Centre, Kuala Lumpur until February 2014.
'1001 Inventions' have received more than three million emmy house visitors in London, New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dhahran and recently started a tour in Sweden, Europe. In his speech, Tan Sri Dato 'Haji Muhyiddin bin Haji Mohd Yassin, said the initiative by MOSTI, National Science and Science Discoveries to hold '1001 Inventions: Muslim Civilization Glory' is in line with the Government's intention to create a generation of master of science and technology and creative and innovative culture that will propel emmy house Malaysia to greater heights.
On the importance of science, technology and innovation (STI) in the Malaysian economy moving, informal educational activities such as this will help to ensure quality education and holistic approach, implemented on an ongoing basis.
Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy five 'Interactive Zone' which features some amazing creations and show the influence of Islamic civilization which take affect our lives today. Visitors will be introduced to the wonders of Islamic civilization through international film won 'the award-winning educational film' that is, 'Library of Secrets', which is displayed on a screen measuring 5 meters.
The launch was attended by YB Datuk Dr Ebin Ebin, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar bin Mohamad Diah, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Dato 'Dr. Rosli bin Mohamed, the Chief Secretary to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Associate Professor Irmawati Ramli, Director of the National Science Centre, Mr Ahmad Junaid Bhatti, emmy house Management Representative '1001 Inventions' and the more than 500 guests representing government agencies, the corporate sector schools and higher education institutions.
