Seeded "Emmy Awards 2011: Results
This time, it's good. The Emmy Awards were presented tonight in Los Angeles. After much speculation and moult paris, we will therefore be able to complain, clap our hands, admit, deny, in short, be like everyone else, take stock. Obviously, the calculations voters, true, are not the same as ours, their TV culture not more, financial issues facing them either. But that does not prevent us from re-match, looks like another ...
Before going into the details of the major awards, one or two preliminary thoughts: if the price of the best series are quite agreed there were enough surprises for the evening is not completely futile. The networks for the main prize, beating the cable channels, which is actually quite surprising in this period of lack of inspiration grime. Boardwalk Empire, believed archi-favorite, almost made lean, and CBS wins against ABC (kept afloat only by the Modern Family), NBC (almost naked in the great price, if you count Friday Night Lights as a descendant of the chain) and Fox saved water by Justified and Futurama (via FX).
Drama Series: Mad Men. And four in a row for the AMC series, obviously a masterpiece, but one wonders if recognition does not have limits. Other quality series deserved the statuette, if only to encourage or thank, eg Boardwalk Empire for his ambition, Friday Night Lights for its qualitative longevity in adversity.
Comedy Series: Modern Family. Again, we take the same and again. The statuette was predictable, as the enthusiasm surrounding the series is great. Parks & Recreation was only a surprise, but it is probably less public, 45th cma awards more difficult to access and therefore less "emmysable. "
First dramatic actress Julianna Margulies 45th cma awards (The Good Wife). It was expected. Only Elisabeth Moss of Mad Men could rob him the statuette. The quality of the game Margulies, in what is probably the most careful series of network at the moment (one House, on a good day, is a bit better), made it the favorite. "Dubbed" by Kyra Sedgwick last year, Margulies is almost 45th cma awards logically rewarded.
First dramatic actor Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights). Here's one, a surprise. Of course, Chandler was critically acclaimed, it now picks up the big movie roles (Super 8), but frankly thought the battle would be played between Steve Buscemi and Jon Hamm - in the absence of undisputed holder, Bryan Cranston. It is also a way for voters to say goodbye to FNL and to recognize some merit. Better.
First female comic role: Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly). Big surprise - no pun intended. Laura Linney, archi-favorite, had to eat his chair. The great tradition of the Emmy for tragicomic actress in a Showtime series is broken. McCarthy look adorable, but what I could see Mike & Molly is not the level of Linney, a Falco or Poehler. So, is this statuette is the most surprising of the night ... or I miss a great sitcom.
First male comic role: Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory). Slight surprise again, as it was thought that Steve Carell would be entitled to a farewell gift. Chuck Lorre is in the party, two of its three sitcoms rewarded. Parsons is excellent, and we suspected that Louie CK damerait 45th cma awards not her pawn, even though I think he deserved it.
And ... We are delighted and surprised by the Emmy for best supporting dramatic role to Peter Dinklage for Game of Thrones, and Margot Martindale for Justified, 45th cma awards not surprised but a little annoyed by the raid of Modern Family, who also pocketed the two Emmys for best comedy supporting roles (Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen), and even less surprised by the awards Kate Winslet and Guy Pearce for Mildred 45th cma awards Pierce.
My prediction failed. I'm glad for Mad Men. There was the episode The Suitcase, for me, is engraved in the history of television. Otherwise, indeed, other series have earned the price though, despite the ambition of Boardwalk Empire, there is something missing in this series, to my taste, it goes from good to very good. I am also pleased to FNL and Kyle Chandler. It's a surprise, but in a sense it is deserved.
Finally a reward for friday night lights, the rest is uneventful except Melissa McCarthy. This is a correct edition of Emmy hoping Elisabeth Moss finally has a real chance for the statuette for Best Actress in a
