This was even before the show began, when she revealed that she and Jay-Z are expecting a baby! A little later Beyonce hit the red carpet wearing an orange dress free by showing swollen belly (pictured left).
Lady Gaga opened the show in "Nokia Center" in Los Angeles, dressed as her male alter ego Jo Calderone in the video "You and I". She sang the version of the song, backed by a group of dancers and last but not least - the legendary rock guitarist Brian May of Queen. See exactly how this happened:
The first winner of the evening became emmy nominations Britney Spears, who received the award for best pop video for "Till the World Ends". Stepping out on stage she herself said she did not expect to receive this award, emmy nominations then thanked the children and their manager.
