The Dark World is in turmoil since the mysterious murder of a werewolf in front of the Hunter's Moon. As for Shadowhunters, Valentine is back and a bloody war is brewing. Caught grammy nominees 2011 in the turmoil grammy nominees 2011 of events, Clary and Jace embark headlong into the fight without thank you opposing defenders good to evil forces. A battle that will take them underground Silent City of dark waters of the East River ...
I liked the first volume ... but no more. I was sorely disappointed in the end because grammy nominees 2011 we learn that Jace and Clary are actually ... brother and sister! Cruel and unexpected ending that left me puzzled. The film was released there was little and I was seeing. Even if it is different from the novel, I loved it and it made me want to discover grammy nominees 2011 more ... I do not regret at all because this second volume is a success! I much preferred the first and I am not far from the heart stroke.
This volume begins shortly after the first one. Simon and Clary are dating unfortunately, the heart of the girl still belongs to Jace. Their relationship is complicated: they love but can not be together. I have not stopped to doubt, wondering if it was true or a plot of Valentine. I can not get used to the idea that they are from the same family ... The scenes between the two heroes are intense as they struggle constantly against their feelings and attraction. From the book (the kissing scene for those who have already read) even gave me chills!
I had a little trouble attach myself to Clary in the first volume grammy nominees 2011 and I preferred here. She is not scared and begins to accept his nature grammy nominees 2011 to Hunter of Shadows. She gradually learns to use the runes for our delight. Jace is angry and he must face the look of his relatives, who now see him as the son of Valentine. I had a lot of trouble to see Maryse, her adoptive mother (mother of Isabelle and Alec) the reject. I found it more human, grammy nominees 2011 more touching even if he happily grammy nominees 2011 ever departed from his sense of humor and sarcasm!
Simon has a greater role. Real change will occur in it ... which makes it even more interesting. Although his relationship with Clary sounds grammy nominees 2011 wrong, I found it touching. As for Alec and Isabelle, their behavior is easy to forget the first volume to attach to them. We start indeed to discover grammy nominees 2011 their true personality Alec is ultimately not so cantankerous and Isabella, nicer than it appears. I hope to learn more about them in the next volumes. In short, side characters, Cassandra Clara did a good job. They are many but they all have their own character and all bring something to the story.
The plot is exciting. Valentin is often present and the threat of growing concern. After cutting, it is indeed looking for other deadly instruments in order to further expand its power and reach his goal. Unlike the first game, seen here from the beginning and it will seek to rally his children to his cause ...
This second volume is full of suspense. This novel is very rhythmic, there is no dead time. I was so immersed in this book when I was not reading, history obsessed me, I needed to know what happened! We also discover new facets of the universe. Cassandra Clare has created a captivating mythology. Between vampires, werewolves, witches, demons and even fairies, the author portrays us a supernatural world more than complete with great originality shadow hunters.
Write side, I had trouble with the external grammy nominees 2011 perspective, but eventually I got used to it. When I read the first volume, there almost a year, I was a big fan of the first person. I came over to immerse myself in the character's head. Now, I do ask myself more problems as the feelings and emotions are well described ... which is the case here. In addition, the writing is fluid and turn the pages without realizing it. We move from one character grammy nominees 2011 to another, allowing us to know them all. I especially enjoyed being on the side of Jace who is and will probably (like most of us): my favorite character.
Finally, a volume better than the first, and a saga to discover urgently!
